About Euro_Coop_Develop In post-industrial economics, a new source of the economic environment's competition advantage is the strengthening of both one’s personal potential to act and the organisation’s as well, by access to “knowledge” in regards to utility and development. In this context, the creation of a “knowledge” based Europe was, even from the Lisbon Council of March 2000, the main goal of the EU. Among it’s conclusions, the Council includes a new strategic objective, that the EU become “the world’s most competitive and dynamic knowledge based economy”. The aim of the workshop is to sharpen the sustainability discussions. This event is organize by consortium of Euro_Net_Develop (European Network Promoting a Socio-Economic Model for Local and Regional Sustainable Development) project in a frame of Romanian Program Excellence Research supported by the Ministry of Education and Research. Participants and Partner organisations in the Workshops, were able to initiate and influence the design and content of future activities for a new action program. The next event is planned to take place in 24-25 August 2007.
